a lottery system will be used to choose the students participating.

OHEF helps fund this after school coding program
by paying for the credential teacher supervision.
Classes will be held on these dates:

Thursdays

Congrats to Dylan Muller and Ryan Thompson!

Former student Justin Jang, a junior at West Ranch High School that is academically highly ranked in his class has been running an afterschool coding class as a pilot last Spring and currently has a 5th/6th grade class that meets each Thursday afternoon.  Code Buddy is the organizaton that he works under and the company held their first competition on Saturday, November 24th at the PALS Youth Center in Northridge.  This competition aimed to increase interest in computer programming through a fun and approachable contest.  Students from both classes were given the opportunity to be placed in a lottery in which two students would represent Oak Hills at the competition.  The two students chosen were 6th grade students Dylan Muller and Ryan Thompson.  There was a total of nine schools that competed.  These two Oak Hills students took 1st place in this first ever Code Buddy competition!  Way to go gentlemen! You represented Oak Hills with wonderful Coyote Pride! We would like to thank Justin for his time, expertise, and enthusiasm that he dedicates to our students!!
