Art & STEM

Art & STEM Workshop
March 26, 2024
Otto Sturcke, an artist who has painted Disneyland lands and murals
(including Galaxy's Edge, Cars land, Marvel area, Pixar Pier), multiple LAUSD murals
and worked on the art for board games (like Monopoly), held a workshop for our students.
Recently he worked on Epcot's Moana Tafiti steel sculpture.

His take on art is applied to more than the canvas -
but also on areas that has to do with environmental factors
(like rain, physical wear, water features)
and working on understanding scaling due to size/depth perception for the crowds walking by.

Mr. Sturcke will give a presentation on how he applies his art skills,
followed by a workshop where the students in Grades 3-6
will do their own project to take home!

Thank you to Mr. Sturcke, to ALL of the wonderful parent volunteers who worked hard
prepping and cleaning materials and to the staff to help make this assembly possible!
