Creative Writing

Does your student love to write?

Let them explore their passion through a 7-week after school Creative Writing Workshop!

Open to grades 4-6, students will learn elements of storytelling,
the importance of tone and word choice, and how to engage readers through
fiction, nonfiction, and poetry activities.

At the end of the seven weeks, each student will submit one piece of writing to be published in a class journal.

When: TBD
Time: 2:30 – 3:30pm
Sign up here
- Space is limited to 20 participants -

To ensure we have a class of active participants, please submit a current creative writing sample (either a poem or a short story written by your child) to our instructor by TBD to this link: submit here. A picture of their written work is also fine.

Students will be selected based on their writing sample. Students will learn elements of storytelling, the importance of tone and word choice, and how to engage readers through fiction, nonfiction, and poetry activities.

You will be notified by TBD, if your child has been selected for the class.

A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Scopio for leading this effort and
sharing her passion for writing to help expand the writing skills of our Coyote Writers!
